MEET GARY
Gary Dickson has spent more than four decades serving his country and his community.
He began his career in the United States Army, serving from 1978 to 1985. After his military service, Gary joined the FBI, where he spent 27 years as a Special Agent investigating corruption, fraud, and money laundering. He later continued that work in the private sector, helping major financial institutions strengthen anti-money-laundering enforcement and financial oversight. Throughout his career, Gary earned a reputation for integrity, discipline, and getting the facts right.
In 2019, Gary was elected West Seneca Town Supervisor — becoming the first Republican to hold the position in nearly 50 years. He ran on a promise of fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability, and he has delivered. Since taking office, Gary has carefully managed the town’s finances and has not increased town taxes. His approach has been straightforward: live within our means, protect taxpayers, and make sure local government works for the people it serves.
Gary holds a master’s degree in public policy and believes thoughtful leadership requires both experience and sound judgment. But for him, public service isn’t about titles — it’s about showing up, listening, and doing the work.
He is active in the community through organizations such as the West Seneca Rotary, the local Chamber of Commerce, and the Family Justice Center, and he is a longtime member of Queen of Heaven Church. Western New York isn’t just where he works — it’s home.
Gary understands the pressures families are facing right now: rising grocery bills, housing affordability challenges, and concerns about public safety. He believes government should focus on practical solutions that strengthen communities, support working families, and keep neighborhoods safe.
At every stage of his life — soldier, federal agent, town supervisor — Gary Dickson has answered the call to serve. He’s running to continue that mission with steady leadership and a commitment to the people of Western New York
